Capon on a spit

Cut a rooster in half and add salt, pepper and sprinkle with paprika. Put into clay pot well coated with grease. Peel the potatoes and slice them . Onions, carrots and peppers also cut into smaller pieces, salt ,pepper and sprinkle with paprika.
In a round baking pan, clay pot, first put meat and then add the vegetables and potatoes. So that the meat is under potatoes.Put metal cover / lid / and the stove over low heat which reorders the metal cover / bake / approximately 30 minutes. After that, put down load cover put meat over potatoes until the beautifully browned and back under the metal cover. Bake for another half hour. And turn meat on the other side and bake another 30 minutes.
Serve in clay pot with sliced pickled cabbage with olive oil and chopped garlic
Ingredients:
domestic rooster cca 1,5-2kg

2 kg potatoes
2 tablespoon lard
a sprig of rosemary
2 onions
2-3 big size carrots
salt and black pepper
a bit of sweet paprika
